Pastor Olalere Abodunrin was born into a Muslim family. He attended Mission Schools of Methodist Primary School Asa, Baptist Modern School Iwo, and Saint Andrew’s College Oyo. In his early years, he practised the Islamic religion, and have a vast knowledge of the religion. Pastor “Lere” has been called to the noble profession of teaching. As an educator, he was instrumental in the establishment of Baptist Comprehensive High School, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. He was a member of various Christian associations and fellowships. Pastor Lere received his doctorate degree in Christian Counselling.

To the glory of God, he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1980, regarding new faith as a “non-compromise and do or die affairs”.

He worships in various Baptist Churches in Nigeria where he became a prominent member and later became a pioneer leader of Ita-Oosa Baptist Church, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. Migrated to the USA in 2000, he joined The Apostolic Church USA, Bay Area Assembly.

He was Ordained as a Pastor in The Apostolic Church in 2002. Over the years in The Apostolic church, he has been a vessel of God, propagating God’s gospel by becoming;

1. The first Resident pastor of The Apostolic Church in Oakland, California, USA.

2. The first Resident District pastor in California, USA.

3. The first Resident District Apostle in California, USA, and members of the Advisory Council.

4. Member of the first Executive Council of TACONA LAWNA USA and the National Treasurer.

Pastor Lere is married to his long-time sweetheart Deaconess Abodunrin. The Lord blessed the couple with children and grandchildren. Pastor Lere also regard his congregations as member of his holy family. His favorite Bible verses are  Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” His favorite hymn is 393 – “I’m pressing on the upward way, …….. “Pastor Lere believes that it’s the Lord’s saving grace and mercy that fetched him in the wilderness of this world. So, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”( Eph. 2:8-9.)
